ܒܩܫܝܫܐ ܠܐ ܬܓܥܘܪ ܐܠܐ ܐܦܝܣܝܗܝ ܐܝܟ ܕܠܐܒܐ ܘܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܛܠܝܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܠܐܚܝܟ
dl'khyk 'yk dTlyn wl'ylyn dl'b' 'yk 'pysyhy 'l' thgewr l' bqshysh'
Don’t rebuke an older man, but exhort him as a father; the younger men as brothers;

ܘܠܩܫܝܫܬܐ ܐܝܟ ܐܡܗܬܐ ܘܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܛܠܝܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܠܐܚܘܬܟ ܒܟܠܗ ܕܟܝܘܬܐ
dkywth' bklh dl'khwthk 'yk dTlyn wl'ylyn 'mhth' 'yk wlqshyshth'
the elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, in all purity.

ܠܐܪܡܠܬܐ ܝܩܪ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܐܪܡܠܬܐ ܐܢܝܢ ܒܫܪܪܐ
bshrr' 'nyn d'rmlth' l'ylyn yqr l'rmlth'
Honor widows who are widows indeed.

ܘܐܢ ܐܝܬ ܐܪܡܠܬܐ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܗ ܒܢܝܐ ܐܘ ܒܢܝ ܒܢܝܐ ܢܐܠܦܘܢ ܠܘܩܕܡ ܕܒܒܢܝ ܒܝܬܗܘܢ ܢܙܕܕܩܘܢ ܘܢܦܪܥܘܢ ܚܘܒܠܐ ܠܐܒܗܝܗܘܢ ܗܕܐ ܓܝܪ ܡܩܒܠܐ ܩܕܡ ܐܠܗܐ
'lh' qdm mqbl' gyr hd' l'bhyhwn khwbl' wnprewn nzddqwn bythhwn dbbny lwqdm n'lpwn bny' bny 'w bny' lh d'yth 'rmlth' 'yth w'n
But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn first to show piety towards their own family, and to repay their parents, for this is acceptable in the sight of God.

ܐܝܕܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܫܪܝܪܐܝܬ ܐܪܡܠܬܐ ܗܝ ܘܡܫܘܚܕܬܐ ܗܕܐ ܣܒܪܗ ܥܠ ܐܠܗܐ ܗܘ ܘܐܡܝܢܐ ܒܨܠܘܬܐ ܘܒܒܥܘܬܐ ܒܠܠܝܐ ܘܒܐܝܡܡܐ
wb'ymm' blly' wbbewth' btslwth' w'myn' hw 'lh' el sbrh hd' wmshwkhdth' hy 'rmlth' dshryr'yth dyn 'yd'
Now she who is a widow indeed, and desolate, has her hope set on God, and continues in petitions and prayers night and day.

ܐܝܕܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܦܠܚܐ ܐܣܛܪܢܝܐ ܡܝܬܐ ܗܝ ܟܕ ܚܝܐ
khy' kd hy myth' 'sTrny' dplkh' dyn 'yd'
But she who gives herself to pleasure is dead while she lives.

ܗܠܝܢ ܗܘܝܬ ܡܦܩܕ ܠܗܝܢ ܕܕܠܐ ܪܫܝܢ ܢܗܘܝܢ
nhwyn rshyn ddl' lhyn mpqd hwyth hlyn
Also command these things, that they may be without reproach.

ܐܢ ܐܢܫ ܓܝܪ ܕܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܕܝܠܗ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܕܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܐܝܬܝܗܘܢ ܒܢܝ ܒܝܬܐ ܕܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܠܐ ܝܨܦ ܗܢܐ ܟܦܪ ܠܗ ܒܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܘܒܝܫ ܗܘ ܡܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܠܐ ܡܗܝܡܢܝܢ
mhymnyn dl' 'ylyn mn hw wbysh bhymnwth' lh kpr hn' ytsp l' dhymnwth' byth' bny d'ythyhwn d'ylyn wythyr'yth 'nwn ddylh d'ylyn gyr 'nsh 'n
But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever.

ܗܘܝܬ ܗܟܝܠ ܓܒܐ ܐܪܡܠܬܐ ܐܝܕܐ ܕܠܐ ܒܨܝܪܐ ܡܢ ܫܬܝܢ ܫܢܝܢ ܐܝܕܐ ܕܠܚܕ ܗܘ ܓܒܪܐ ܗܘܬ
hwth gbr' hw dlkhd 'yd' shnyn shthyn mn btsyr' dl' 'yd' 'rmlth' gb' hkyl hwyth
Let no one be enrolled as a widow under sixty years old, having been the wife of one man,

ܘܐܝܬ ܠܗ ܣܗܕܘܬܐ ܕܥܒܕܐ ܫܦܝܪܐ ܐܢ ܪܒܝܬ ܒܢܝܐ ܐܢ ܩܒܠܬ ܐܟܣܢܝܐ ܐܢ ܐܫܝܓܬ ܪܓܠܝܗܘܢ ܕܩܕܝܫܐ ܐܢ ܐܪܘܚܬ ܠܐܠܝܨܐ ܐܢ ܗܠܟܬ ܒܟܠ ܥܒܕ ܛܒ
Tb ebd bkl hlkth 'n l'lyts' 'rwkhth 'n dqdysh' rglyhwn 'shygth 'n 'ksny' qblth 'n bny' rbyth 'n shpyr' debd' shdwth' lh w'yth
being approved by good works, if she has brought up children, if she has been hospitable to strangers, if she has washed the saints’ feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, and if she has diligently followed every good work.

ܡܢ ܐܪܡܠܬܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܛܠܝܢ ܐܫܬܐܠ ܡܨܛܪܝܢ ܠܗܝܢ ܓܝܪ ܥܠ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܘܒܥܝܢ ܠܡܗܘܐ ܠܓܒܪܐ
lgbr' lmhw' wbeyn mshykh' el gyr lhyn mtsTryn 'shth'l dTlyn 'ylyn dyn 'rmlth' mn
But refuse younger widows, for when they have grown wanton against Christ, they desire to marry;

ܘܕܝܢܗܝܢ ܩܝܡ ܗܘ ܕܛܠܡ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܗܝܢ ܩܕܡܝܬܐ
qdmyth' hymnwthhyn dTlm hw qym wdynhyn
having condemnation, because they have rejected their first pledge.

ܝܠܦܢ ܕܝܢ ܐܦ ܚܒܢܢܘܬܐ ܟܕ ܡܬܟܪܟܢ ܒܝܬ ܒܬܐ ܘܠܐ ܒܠܚܘܕ ܚܒܢܢܘܬܐ ܐܠܐ ܐܦ ܕܢܣܓܝܢ ܡܡܠܠܐ ܘܢܦܪܩܢ ܣܪܝܩܬܐ ܘܢܡܠܠܢ ܡܕܡ ܕܠܐ ܘܠܐ
wl' dl' mdm wnmlln sryqth' wnprqn mmll' dnsgyn 'p 'l' khbnnwth' blkhwd wl' bth' byth mthkrkn kd khbnnwth' 'p dyn ylpn
Besides, they also learn to be idle, going about from house to house. Not only idle, but also gossips and busybodies, saying things which they ought not.

ܨܒܐ ܐܢܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܕܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܛܠܝܢ ܢܙܕܘܓܢ ܘܢܐܠܕܢ ܒܢܝܐ ܘܢܕܒܪܢ ܒܬܝܗܝܢ ܘܠܐ ܢܬܠܢ ܠܒܥܠܕܒܒܐ ܐܦܠܐ ܚܕܐ ܥܠܬܐ ܕܨܘܚܝܬܐ
dtswkhyth' elth' khd' 'pl' lbeldbb' nthln wl' bthyhyn wndbrn bny' wn'ldn nzdwgn dTlyn d'ylyn hkyl 'n' tsb'
I desire therefore that the younger widows marry, bear children, rule the household, and give no occasion to the adversary for insulting.

ܥܠ ܕܗܫܐ ܓܝܪ ܫܪܝܘ ܐܢܫ ܐܢܫ ܠܡܣܛܐ ܒܬܪ ܣܛܢܐ
sTn' bthr lmsT' 'nsh 'nsh shryw gyr dhsh' el
For already some have turned away after Satan.

ܐܢ ܐܢܫ ܡܗܝܡܢܐ ܐܘ ܡܗܝܡܢܬܐ ܐܝܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܪܡܠܬܐ ܢܬܪܣܘܢ ܐܢܝܢ ܘܠܐ ܢܐܩܪܢ ܥܠ ܥܕܬܐ ܕܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܐܪܡܠܬܐ ܐܢܝܢ ܕܫܪܪܐ ܬܣܦܩ
thspq dshrr' 'nyn d'rmlth' dl'ylyn edth' el n'qrn wl' 'nyn nthrswn 'rmlth' lhwn 'yth mhymnth' 'w mhymn' 'nsh 'n
If any man or woman who believes has widows, let them relieve them, and don’t let the assembly be burdened; that it might relieve those who are widows indeed.

ܩܫܝܫܐ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܫܦܝܪ ܡܬܕܒܪܝܢ ܠܐܝܩܪܐ ܥܦܝܦܐ ܢܫܘܘܢ ܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܠܐܝܢ ܒܡܠܬܐ ܘܒܝܘܠܦܢܐ
wbywlpn' bmlth' dl'yn 'ylyn ythyr'yth nshwwn epyp' l'yqr' mthdbryn dshpyr 'ylyn qshysh'
Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and in teaching.

ܐܡܪ ܓܝܪ ܟܬܒܐ ܕܠܐ ܬܒܠܘܡ ܬܘܪܐ ܒܕܪܟܬܐ ܘܫܘܐ ܗܘ ܦܥܠܐ ܐܓܪܗ
'grh pel' hw wshw' bdrkth' thwr' thblwm dl' kthb' gyr 'mr
For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle the ox when it treads out the grain.” And, “The laborer is worthy of his wages.”

ܥܠ ܩܫܝܫܐ ܩܛܓܪܢܘܬܐ ܠܐ ܬܩܒܠ ܐܠܐ ܥܠ ܦܘܡ ܬܪܝܢ ܘܬܠܬܐ ܣܗܕܝܢ
shdyn wthlth' thryn pwm el 'l' thqbl l' qTgrnwth' qshysh' el
Don’t receive an accusation against an elder, except at the word of two or three witnesses.

ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܚܛܝܢ ܩܕܡ ܟܠܢܫ ܟܘܢ ܕܐܦ ܫܪܟܐ ܕܐܢܫܐ ܢܕܚܠܘܢ
ndkhlwn d'nsh' shrk' d'p kwn klnsh qdm dkhTyn l'ylyn
Those who sin, reprove in the sight of all, that the rest also may be in fear.

ܡܣܗܕ ܐܢܐ ܠܟ ܩܕܡ ܐܠܗܐ ܘܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܘܡܠܐܟܘܗܝ ܓܒܝܐ ܕܗܠܝܢ ܬܛܪ ܘܠܐ ܢܬܩܕܡ ܪܥܝܢܟ ܠܡܕܡ ܘܠܐ ܬܣܥܘܪ ܡܕܡ ܒܡܣܒ ܒܐܦܐ
b'p' bmsb mdm thsewr wl' lmdm reynk nthqdm wl' thTr dhlyn gby' wml'kwhy mshykh' yshwe wmrn 'lh' qdm lk 'n' mshd
I command you in the sight of God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the chosen angels, that you observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing by partiality.

ܐܝܕܐ ܒܥܓܠ ܥܠ ܐܢܫ ܠܐ ܬܣܝܡ ܘܠܐ ܬܫܬܘܬܦ ܒܚܛܗܐ ܢܘܟܪܝܐ ܢܦܫܟ ܛܪ ܒܕܟܝܘܬܐ
bdkywth' Tr npshk nwkry' bkhTh' thshthwthp wl' thsym l' 'nsh el begl 'yd'
Lay hands hastily on no one, neither be a participant in other men’s sins. Keep yourself pure.

ܘܡܟܝܠ ܡܝܐ ܠܐ ܬܫܬܐ ܐܠܐ ܚܡܪܐ ܩܠܝܠ ܗܘܝܬ ܫܬܐ ܡܛܠ ܐܣܛܘܡܟܟ ܘܡܛܠ ܟܘܪܗܢܝܟ ܐܡܝܢܐ
'myn' kwrhnyk wmTl 'sTwmkk mTl shth' hwyth qlyl khmr' 'l' thshth' l' my' wmkyl
Be no longer a drinker of water only, but use a little wine for your stomach’s sake and your frequent infirmities.

ܐܝܬ ܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܕܚܛܗܝܗܘܢ ܝܕܝܥܝܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܡܩܕܡܝܢ ܠܗܘܢ ܠܒܝܬ ܕܝܢܐ ܘܐܝܬ ܕܒܬܪܗܘܢ ܐܙܠܝܢ
'zlyn dbthrhwn w'yth dyn' lbyth lhwn wmqdmyn 'nwn ydyeyn dkhThyhwn bnynsh' 'yth
Some men’s sins are evident, preceding them to judgment, and some also follow later.

ܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܥܒܕܐ ܛܒܐ ܝܕܝܥܝܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܐܚܪܢܝܐܝܬ ܐܢܘܢ ܠܡܛܫܐ ܠܐ ܡܫܟܚܝܢ
mshkkhyn l' lmTsh' 'nwn d'khrny'yth w'ylyn 'nwn ydyeyn Tb' ebd' 'p hkn'
In the same way also there are good works that are obvious, and those that are otherwise can’t be hidden.
